IMPORTANT NOTICE
By booking or participating in a Highland Cow Experience or any related activity at Willow Tree Farm, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that farm environments and interactions with animals involve inherent risks. Highland cows are large animals and their behaviour can be unpredictable. Risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, scratches, minor injuries, contact with animals, uneven ground, weather conditions and other hazards commonly associated with countryside and farm environments.
Willow Tree Farm takes reasonable steps to provide a safe experience. However, participants accept the inherent risks associated with visiting a working farm and interacting with animals.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits Willow Tree Farm’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to the above, Willow Tree Farm shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, disappointment, inconvenience or expense arising from participation in the experience, except where caused by our negligence or breach of legal duty.
Compliance with Safety Instructions
All participants must follow instructions given by staff at all times.
Participants must:
• Remain within designated visitor areas.
• Follow all instructions regarding feeding, petting and approaching animals.
• Avoid sudden movements, loud noises or behaviour likely to distress animals.
• Supervise children at all times.
Willow Tree Farm reserves the right to terminate a participant’s experience without refund if staff believe their behaviour may endanger themselves, other guests, staff or animals.
Health and Hygiene
Farm animals can carry bacteria and other organisms that may cause illness.
Participants must:
• Wash or sanitise their hands after touching animals and before eating or drinking.
• Supervise children carefully and prevent them from placing their hands near their mouth after animal contact.
• Follow all hygiene instructions provided by staff.
Hand sanitiser and hand-washing facilities will be provided where reasonably practicable.
Individuals who are pregnant, immunocompromised or who have known animal-related allergies should consider seeking medical advice before participating.
Children
Children remain the responsibility of their parent, guardian or supervising adult at all times.
Children must be kept under close supervision and must follow all staff instructions.
Welfare of Animals
The welfare of our animals is our highest priority.
Willow Tree Farm reserves the right to alter, shorten, postpone or cancel an experience if staff believe continuing would compromise animal welfare, visitor safety or staff safety.
Weather and Environmental Conditions
Experiences take place outdoors and may be affected by weather conditions, uneven ground, mud, wind, rain, insects, livestock noise and other natural environmental factors.
Participants should wear suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for a farm environment and prevailing weather conditions.
No refunds will be provided solely because of normal weather conditions unless Willow Tree Farm decides it is unsafe to proceed.
Property Damage
Participants are responsible for any loss or damage caused by their deliberate acts, negligence or failure to follow instructions.
Willow Tree Farm reserves the right to recover reasonable costs resulting from such damage.
Photography and Marketing
Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during experiences for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please inform a member of staff before the experience begins.
