Client Testimonials

"We did this on a sunny Sunday afternoon after a sparkling cream tea . The season had just started so it was quiet but that suited us. Craig gave us a wonderful experience and we had plenty of time to spend with the Highlands who all behaved beautifully. Oreo and the new calf ( who we think would suit Praline as her name to carry on the theme) were obvious highlights . We are now even more in love with Highlands . Thankyou Willow Farm"

“My mum & I had a wonderful time with the Highland Cows. Craig is friendly & informative & it was amazing to get up close to the babies. We got to feed the younger cows, brush one of them and get cuddles and then walk and cuddle the baby Oreo. It was lovely to see the 2 week old Pixie. Followed by a great cream tea courtesy of Pam. Brilliant experience, great clear information and well organised. Highly recommended.”
-Helen Davidson
“We had an amazing day out here today! We got to cuddle and groom little Nellie and Noel and also feed Sandy, Holly and Ivy. Anna was lovely when showing us around and telling us all about their gorgeous highland cows. We then had a delicious afternoon tea with a cheeky glass of Prosecco. Would highly recommend visiting this place! Every single staff member was so lovely and made us feel so welcome.”

Highland cows are happiest when the weather is cool and comfortable, so the best times to visit are usually during spring, autumn and milder summer days. If the weather is too hot, bookings will be rescheduled to allow our cows to relax in the shade. (Their welfare will always come first).

For the best chance to interact with the cows, we recommend booking:

  • Morning experiences (especially in summer)
  • Spring visits (March–May)
  • Autumn visits (September–November)
  • Cooler, overcast days

Our cows’ welfare always comes first, so on particularly hot days they may spend more time resting in shaded areas to stay comfortable.

Absolutely not! Around here, our Highland cows are family members, not menu items. We raise and care for them because we love them, and many of our visitors return time and time again to see their favourite furry friends.

Our farm is supported through tourism, experiences, accommodation and our shop, which means every visit helps us give our animals the happy, pampered lives they deserve.

Yes, but we close for Christmas and New year.

As much as we love dogs, we don’t allow pet dogs on the farm. Our animals’ welfare is our top priority, and the presence of unfamiliar dogs can sometimes cause stress to livestock.

Accredited assistance dogs are, of course, welcome. If you’ll be visiting with an assistance dog, please get in touch before your visit so we can help make suitable arrangements.

We will never force an animal to walk or do anything it doesn’t want to. Our aim is to give them the happiest lives we can.

That said, they do mostly like to walk and you can always interact with them without barriers.
