We enjoyed every moment of our time at Willow Tree Farm, starting with a delicious cream tea served in a lovely barn overlooking the cow fields, served on vintage crockery. The Highland cow experience was delightful, led by Georgie, who was friendly, knowledgeable and keen to give us the best possible experience, including feeding, brushing and walking the cows. A very memorable experience.Posted on Google Giorgia PriceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highland cows are happiest when the weather is cool and comfortable, so the best times to visit are usually during spring, autumn and milder summer days. If the weather is too hot, bookings will be rescheduled to allow our cows to relax in the shade. (Their welfare will always come first).
For the best chance to interact with the cows, we recommend booking:
Our cows’ welfare always comes first, so on particularly hot days they may spend more time resting in shaded areas to stay comfortable.
Absolutely not! Around here, our Highland cows are family members, not menu items. We raise and care for them because we love them, and many of our visitors return time and time again to see their favourite furry friends.
Our farm is supported through tourism, experiences, accommodation and our shop, which means every visit helps us give our animals the happy, pampered lives they deserve.
Yes, but we close for Christmas and New year.
As much as we love dogs, we don’t allow pet dogs on the farm. Our animals’ welfare is our top priority, and the presence of unfamiliar dogs can sometimes cause stress to livestock.
Accredited assistance dogs are, of course, welcome. If you’ll be visiting with an assistance dog, please get in touch before your visit so we can help make suitable arrangements.
We will never force an animal to walk or do anything it doesn’t want to. Our aim is to give them the happiest lives we can.
That said, they do mostly like to walk and you can always interact with them without barriers.
